I’m here for other children.
aku di sini untuk anak-anak
I’m here because I care.
di sini karena aku pedulu
I’m here because children everywhere are suffering and because forty thousand people die each day from hunger.
Aku di sini, karena anak-anak dimana-mana menderita dan karena empat puluh lima ribu orang mati karena kelaparan
I’m here because those people are mostly children.
aku di sini, karena kebanyakan orang-orang itu adalah anak-anak
We have got to understand that the poor are all around us and we are ignoring them.
Kita harus paham bahwa orang miskin di sekitar kita dan kita mengabaikannya
We have got to understand that these deaths are preventable.
Kita harus paham bahwa kematian ini tak bisa dicegah
We have got to understand that people in third world countries think and care and smile and cry just like us.
Kita harus paham bahwa orang-orang di negara dunia ketiga berpikir, peduli, tersenyum dan menangis sebagaimana kita
We have got to understand that they dream our dreams and we dream theirs.
Kita harus paham bahwa mereka bermimpi tentang mimpi kita dan kita bermimpi mimpi mereka
We have got to understand that they are us. We are them.
Kita harus paham bahwa mereka adalah kita, dan kita adalah mereka
My dream is to stop hunger by the year 2000.
Mimpiku adalah menghentikan kelaparan pada tahun 2000
My dream is to give the poor a chance.
mimpiku adalah memberi orang-orang miskin kesempatan
My dream is to save the 40,000 people who die each day.
Mimpiku menyelamatkan 40,000 orang yang mati tiap hari
My dream can and will come true if we all look into the future and see the light that shines there.
Mimpiku dapat dan akan terwujud jika kita melihat ke depan dan melihat cahaya yang bersinar di sana
If we ignore hunger, that light will go out.
jika kita mengabaikan kelaparan, cahaya itu akan padam
If we all help and work together, it will grow and burn free with the potential of tomorrow.
jika kita semua menolong dan bekerja sama, itu bertambah besar dan membebaskan dengan segala harapan esok
