Discussing

This song tells about the beggar’s family. Because of the poverty, they don’t have any house or shelter. Not only having any place for take a rest or sleep, they can’t get enough food to feed their child, because of this, their child is very slim and pale. They often sleep with hunger stomach in the road’s bank – in front of the shops. They also talk about their destiny, which they don’t know for sure what will be their life.

In the end of this song, the beggar pray to God, that HE can save his family from being greedy and do bad thing. although their life is so hard, they ask to God that they can live by God’s way.

This song is a satire, where Ebiet want to say to the people who have been given anything by God, yet they’re still greedy to have other’s thing.
